The Creative Media internship here at YWAM Montana-Lakeside is for designers and film makers who want to come and use their creative skills to serve in a missions context. An intern spends 1-3 months serving in our Creative Media department working on projects from branding, print design, web design and promo film making. We serve not only in-house but also other YWAM bases and ministries around the world. Our work has a global focus on furthering the Kingdom of God through creative media and design and we are looking for talented, passionate people who have a heart to serve God through their creative skills.
Another part of our internship program is what we call Career Discipleship. An intern is required to attend all campus worship and intersession times, have regular one-on-ones, some required reading and keeping a journal or their experience here. Our heart is for interns to grow spiritually as well as in their field of expertise.
This is not a formal training program but rather an experience of short term missions for creatives, but interns can expect to learn a lot through working alongside other creative people and through the variety of projects they will work on.
We accept interns with the following specialities:
- Graphic Design
- Web design & development
- Film Making (Experience with Adobe Premiere is preferable)
Other beneficial skills:
- Excellent people skills
- Good written and verbal communication
- Understanding of the use social media
- Marketing experience
- Comfortable with modern popular culture – young people (aged 16-25) are our primary demographic for most projects.
When applying we ask that you send us a resume and creative portfolio for us to review.
