YWAM Montana Lakeside is excited to announce our newest initiative, 33 in 3. We are committed, with YWAM Ships Kona & YWAM Madang, to working together to see 33 remote languages in Madang Province, Papua New Guinea engage with Bible Translation to receive the Gospel in their Oral Mother Tongue. We believe that God has positioned us as a ministry to help bring communities from isolation into the Kingdom.
How will we accomplish this?
YWAM Montana | Lakeside is committed to sending teams of missionary members to serve on the ship every quarter. By supporting the floating campus delivering medical services we believe that doors will open for Bible translation and scripture engagement with remote communities in Madang.
We, in partnership with YWAM Ships Kona and YWAM Madang, are committed to bringing communities from isolation into the Kingdom.
Why oral bible translation?
Many languages that have yet to have the Bible translated are oral (They have no alphabet or written form). While education and teaching of trade languages enable remote communities to engage with the wider world, it can lead to a loss of these communities’ unique languages. We believe that every communities is worthy of receiving the Gospel in their Mother Tongue.
By using audio translation, the Bible can be delivered in a way that resonates with these communities, preserving the natural flow of their language and oral traditions. This method allows people to hear God's Word in a format they understand and connect with deeply, making the message of the Bible accessible to those who otherwise might never engage with it. Audio translations break down barriers of literacy and bring the power of Scripture to life through storytelling and spoken word, fostering spiritual growth in even the most isolated and unreached places.

You can sign up to “adopt” and pray for one or more of the 33 languages! Join others already praying and cover our teams of translators in prayer as they serve!
Step Two: Donate to Bible Translation efforts!
All proceeds go towards equipping the M/V YWAM Liberty and enabling YWAM Montana Missionary Members to serve onboard the ship.
Step Three: Join the next ship outreach!
YWAM Ships Kona has many opportunities for skilled and non-skilled volunteers to get onboard to serve for 2-3 week intervals.
