Empowering kingdom advancement

Go & Live

Advancement.

It’s what you do as a movement – you mobilize in order to advance. Because you’re called to GO. Relentless and unafraid to rise to that call because of what you see in your spirit and hold in your heart. An action-oriented collective group of people, who are more than missionaries. You are visionaries of the mission.

Target Nations.

In an effort to increase long-term effectiveness in our overseas outreaches and ministry, YWAM Montana-Lakeside adopted the concept of “targeting.”  Currently we are focusing on, Cambodia, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, and two other *creative access nations as our Target Nations. We are partnering with YWAM ministries in these nations by coming alongside them in tangible ways to help them fulfill their vision and ministry goals.  We do this by building relationships, sending school outreach teams, resources, and staff outreach teams to meet specific needs. For a season, we focused all of our resources (team sending and personal ministry) first and foremost to our Target Nations.  We believe God is leading us to concentrate our efforts more specifically in order to see a greater impact in the Kingdom of God and, together with long-term workers, have more lasting fruit.

Our Target Nations.

Cambodia

Cambodia’s past is marred with the genocide carried out by the Khmer Rouge from 1975-1979. As of 2013, the Human Development Index (HDI) ranked Cambodia 138th place (tied with Laos), which made the nation one of the lowest ranking in terms of human development.

Taiwan

Taiwan is the 19th largest economy in the world, with its advanced technology industry playing a key role in the global economy. Taiwan is ranked highly in terms of freedom of the press, health care, public education, economic freedom, and human development.

Thailand

A new King ascended the throne in 2016. Thailand is currently run by a military government. Thailand is the 2nd largest economy in Southeast Asia. It is known as the “land of smiles” and contrasts where westernization exists side by side with Thai village life.

Ukraine

Ukraine became an independent country in 1991 when the Soviet Union collapsed and is still in the process of gaining their identity as a country. Ukraine has been one of the powerhouses of world agriculture. It is known as the “bread basket” of Europe and the former Soviet Union.

Creative Access Nations.

We have two other target nations where we have had long standing partnerships with YWAM leaders/locations, but we cannot post about them on our website or social media because of the risk it could bring to the long-term workers. Our teams that go to these 2 nations are safe and are doing great work to share the gospel alongside our long-term workers.  We also ask each team member not to post anything about their location on social media. We want to do our best to honor the request of our long-term workers and protect the ministries they have spent years developing with God’s guidance.

Global Partners.

Equipped to go. For a world that waits.

We, at YWAM Montana-Lakeside, are committed to sending missionaries to the nations long-term. We do this by having Global Partners. A Global Partner is someone who has previously served as a Missionary Member at YWAM Montana-Lakeside for at least two years and has completed the Global Partnership Program. We are dedicated to helping our missionaries through this program so they succeed within YWAM for the long-haul. The Global Partnership Program is tailored to fit an individual’s or family’s needs, prior experience and ministry plans. The Global Partnership Program (GPP) is a three step process. Upon completion of the Global Partnership Program and final approval, the applicant becomes an official YWAM Montana-Lakeside Global Partner.

Application

The first step is the Application phase which consists of contacting the Strategic Missions Office (SMO) and then filling out the application form.

Preparation

Upon approval the Preparation Phase begins. This phase consists of assignments that will help equip the applicant, including putting together a plan for the first two years on the field.

Implementation

The Implementation Phase begins when the applicant arrives on the field and starts the two year plan that was put in place before leaving.

MINISTRY PARTNERS.

Ministry Partners are local YWAM ministry leaders in our Target Nations that we partner with in order to accomplish the tasks/vision God has given for the nation.

Connected PARTNERS.

We currently have more than 100 Partners (including children) serving as Global and Ministry Partners in 16 different nations around the world. They serve in roles such as Church Planting, Community Development, YWAM Location Leaders, Bible Teachers, and various other ministries.
